Bradford Cox performed with Atlas Sound, his solo project, at Philadelphia's Making Time ∞ festival last month. The set marked his first live performance since 2019, aside from a 2023 noise set at an Athens vintage market. Cox debuted eight new songs during the set, accompanied by brass bells, a bass guitar, and an SP-404.

"Octoberland" is one of the new songs, now available as a studio recording. Cox directed the accompanying music video himself.

Atlas Sound began as Cox's project using a cassette karaoke machine. Between 2008 and 2011, he released three albums under the name: Let the Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel, Logos, and Parallax, plus Bedroom Databank, Vols. 1-4. These records emphasized sampling and wall-of-sound pop, departing from Deerhunter's shoegaze and krautrock approach.

Cox has three more festival dates scheduled for 2027: Big Ears in Knoxville, Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City, and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
