Queens of the Stone Age released their ninth studio album, Perfecth. The record combines elements from across the band's career: their early robot rock sound, the psychedelic and moody art rock of their middle period, and what the band describes as a newly-founded dystopian crooner energy cultivated during their Catacombs tour.
Consequence gave the album a B+, praising its "comprehensive and engrossing cinematic soundscape" and its "return to astute and clever lyricism." Josh Homme discussed the album in a Consequence cover story, talking about select songs from Perfecth, the record's inspirations, his friendship with Dave Grohl, and the potential for reunions with Them Crooked Vultures and Kyuss.
Three singles preceded the album's release: "Easy Street," "Insignificant Other," and "Where the Goth Girls At?" The third single received a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Queens of the Stone Age announced a Spring 2027 North American tour with Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp as support.
